Wait! does he use the auto return to knock pen over to knock a heavy book on the floor to simulate a dead body falling? Wow I remember that episode.

Some dodgy soft porn film on London live, Lenco decks with some odd auto arrangement, Radford amps? 1969

How do you do those screen shots off the telly?
Right, I thought you had some fancy-pants software or something.
Here's a screengrab of a tidy Thorens TD 160, from episode 5 of the first series of the superb Grace And Frankie, starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin (think Curb from a female perspective and you're in the ball park) :
https://s22.postimg.cc/zeib60ipd/TD_160.jpg
Record is "un homme, une femme" appropriate 60s lame soundtrack music from Francis Lai.
More interesting are the two Thorens 124, not lenco, especially the first one with a fixed tonearm mount, quite unusual because it is normally a removable board.
What's the movie ?

'Build me up buttercup' was playing in the background of this scene but it didn't sound like the Foundations version?
Is it possibly a TD135 and not a TD124 in post 115?
Is actually a TD224

It had the record changer bit.

oh, well noticed, I hadn't seen the changer mechanism at the rear left of the table.
Good call Roy. The 224 is an amazing machine.
In one episode they worked a Roksan turntable into the storyline. Not by that name though.
In the TV series House, Greg House has a Sota Turntable with a Rega arm in his office

Anyone watching 'Sharp Objects' on Sky/HBO? Lots of scenes of the step father and his system, almost a show of its own!
The first Morse is on TV just now, with shots of Linn turntables and a Rega arm. There was also a shot of a pile of amps from the rear but not sure what they were.
Quad gear in zoopla ad (405, 34 & FM4?)

[QUOTE=Roy S;999606]Quad gear in zoopla ad (405, 34 & FM4?)
Hard to see in this resolution but looks smaller than the 34 so possibly an FM3
(the FM4 is a matching size/style to the 34)
EDIT - SNAP!!
(Barry got in first)

Julia Dreyfus stereo the ice comes through the window and hit it , wasn't that those flat Linn amps from the late 80's?

Very hard to tell from that screen grab but shares layout features and lid with the Braun 1/M (minus smartphone) featured in this youtube clip - see when it's zoomed out at 1 minute in:

Also similar to the anthracite version of the BraunTC45 - although in both cases the knobs are the wrong colour (might have been changed though....)
Ed has some typically british kit built into the wall of his underground bsse at SHADO HQ.
Not seen the show for years but i think it was Leak/Sugden amp and tuner...
This is the shit that keeps us up at night.
Watching ‘through the keyhole’ (why I don’t know) they did Lesley Garrett’s place, she had a tidy little Arcam system

Ferris Bueller's got a Carver CD player and amp
Carver CD player, power amp and what appears to be a tuner/pre-amp. The CD player looks pretty tasty, I wonder if any made it over here?

I remember Carver being advertised. There was a picture of a sheep and underneath 'Definitely not a Carver buyer'. Or something like that.
Might see if I can lay hands on the CD player if there are any still about.
Im always doing it :) I will forget the story, freeze the frame and have a good look at the hi fi equipment. Sometimes its not a good view but I will try and work it out. I need to see if the equipment matches the environment, financial standing or whether the props man has had an off day.
I even looked up what he had in American Psycho..Apart from The KEF speakers I was barely interested in the American stuff but still needed to cross check what it was
When Prof Briiiiiiaaaan Cox started talking about his Sondek I was all ears :)
What does he have in American Psycho? Seen it once a long time ago, all I can recall was that it's silver - I think.
