Yes, know what you mean, the late Tiddles was a big cat, loved to sleep on my bed, sometimes with her head on my hand. Miss her.

My cat used to fall off the upstairs window ledge a lot. she fell asleep and moved then a bang as she hit the coal bunker's metal roof. 10 foot drop but it didnt seem to phase her much.
They do look embarrassed if they know you have seen them. They are quite complex creatures, more so than they are commonly given credit for.
Back in 1990 I was living in a house with 5 mates and one got a kitten. Little thing, perfectly marked with black and green tiger stripes, she looked like she was wearing a Vietnam era Special Forces camo suit. I used to play fight with her and we would chase each other around the house (which was large) and jump out from doorways and that. The cat would actually initiate this game by whacking me on the leg while I was watching telly or something and then running off. Used to go up the curtains too, that would have us in stitches.
Years later when I visited my friend she still remembered me and sat with me the whole time I was there.
