Let's just hope they went to people who appreciated them more than I did.
I expect they did.

Oxfam always have had a bizzare pricing policy. I guess it come down to the person who values the stock: whether he consults the record buyer's guide, ebay etc., but round here most classical LPs are priced at £5 or more, and if it's a Decca SXL pressing then at least £10 regardless of condition! Even the staff think the prices asked are absurd.
Suffice to say if they had adopted a more sensible pricing policy, I would have spent many hundreds of pounds there.
Absolutely! I wouldn't buy them at that price, even in my mad vinyl days.
But, strangely, they do sell at those prices at that shop. I think crazed classical vinylists (?) come from many miles away to that Hereford Oxfam.
Decided to make up a small set of those cables brian linked to. 1.25 m set

Small for my Amps on the speakers. Gave them a little extra in case I use them in another configuration
Next is waiting til in fit enough to bend round back of the gear
got these on and working now. quite pleased with them. first impressions are better placement and better/cleaner top end. a little more depth.
of course i'm imagining it :D
edit.. am I hell ;) quite holographic actually
Good. I always like a bit of slack in speaker cables. Better to have them longer than too short, makes it easier to adjust speaker positioning.
Yup 1.25 m is plenty long These were the ones brian tried and liked
I've still got these in my system Grant and I'm quite happy with them :)
Yup it's cheap enough to buy a little extra :)
