Cheers Grant, sure I’ll be fine in a day or two. At least you know it’s working lol.
I got the Oxford one. She reckoned it would be about May for the second one.
Yeah, sorry to hear that, mate. I'm sure you'll be fine soon. They're early up there doing your age group, eh!
Marco.
Hi Dave,
Hope you're well:)
Yeah, Grant's spot on and knows my feelings on the matter well enough (as outlined).
This is the crux of the matter:

My wife's already had Covid (tested positive and was hospitalised with it, now mostly recovered), and I didn't catch it, or at least not to my knowledge, despite having been with her 24/7 throughout. Therefore, I'm either asymptomatic or immune (certainly seemingly so from any serious adverse effects), so on that basis am happy to take my chances and let my immune system deal with it, if/when I should catch the virus - if indeed I haven't already done so!
Your air pump for the car looks good, but I use nitrogen inflation for my tyres, so when necessary, gets topped up for FREE at my local ATS:cool:
Marco.
Yes - thanks.
We wondered if in fact we'd already had Covid as we had some moderate illness around last March. Mrs was really ill for one day - it's possible we did experience the virus, but managed to build up some immunity. On the other hand if we hadn't, then catching the nasty thing could have been really bad news.Quote:

Sorry to hear about Del being hospitalised - that sounds quite serious. You don't really want to go there if you can avoid it. Glad things are now improving though.
I know a few people who've had the disease - even very recently - and all the ones around our age or maybe ten years younger say it's really not fun, even though they are now recovering. FWIW - and it's your decision - I'd suggest you do go for the jab, but make sure the medics watch for an adverse reaction. If you are likely to, it'll probably be in the first 10-15 minutes or less. Have you ever had a bee sting, or found that eating any hot food (e.g. some spicy stuff) gives you a rash or breathing difficulties? That's the kind of thing to make sure you're covered for - so you'd need to be sure of the competence of the medics. Chances are they'd be OK. The medics do ask questions about previous reactions - and of course whether you are pregnant! :)
I think most people who walk away afterwards aren't going to have a problem, though some may feel ill after a day or so. As I said already, for us this one was totally trivial - much better than the flu ones I've had.
Bugger. Just discovered that the garage selling my mystery car has a new arrival.
Mystery car number 2 is pretty much identical to the car that I promised myself over 25 years ago when I first encountered one, whereas the mystery car number 1 I mentioned previously is a slightly different, more expensive and rarer model that I never even considered originally due to these factors.
So do I want the cheaper one I’ve always lusted after, or the dearer, rarer, louder and probably much scarier one that I’ve been eyeing up since last autumn?
Obviously, I shall use this conundrum as an excuse to try out both but, still, confusion reigns!
Slight snag with the pump for the tyres. It runs off the ciggie lighter socket, and if the engine isn't running the battery might go flat. That's what happened to me, so I've had to charge the battery up again today.
I thought there might be some mains ones, but most seem to be like this one. Hopefully not really a big deal, but merely a slight irritation and a temporary hiccup. At least the tyres are fairly solid now.
The screw on fitting is quite good, though there is a problem getting it off fast enough so as not to lose too much air out of the tyres. This means that the tyres have to be pumped up more to allow for this to happen.
Given the current somewhat constrained circumstances though, this seems to have been a good thing.
Guess you could just run engine
Yeah, when I used one I always ran the engine, but if the battery's in good condition and properly charged it should be a problem:)
Marco.
