I genuinely don’t get the point of what 3 words. OK so it tells you where you are or where you need to be, but doesn’t help you get there!
Frankly I prefer the rude four word version - FourKingMaps: https://www.fourkingmaps.co.uk
Currently I’m sitting at wetdream.peehole.whelp.bicurious

I presume you’re joking, but most police forces endorse What 3 Words, and many lives have now been saved by it - but of course, if you’re in the middle of nowhere up a fell or something and need mountain rescue to find you or broken down in the dark on a country road it’s only any good if you can actually get mobile internet to give them the code...
It is however brilliant for us for delivery drivers, as normal satnavs place our postcode in the middle of a field about a mile away...
The emergency services are aware, and help is on the way :) After a category 1 call that's just come in (fondling angry bulls balls).
I've heard paramedicas are using this, and probably other emergency services, so surely the ability to get to a 'What 3 Words' location would be part of the app? I'm hoping so, as i could find that quite handy.
Earlier this week i went to fit a window at a house out in the sticks which had a pet peeve of mine, ie a house name rather than a number. The house in question ('Pop Hall Barn') meant nothing to my sat nav, just a post code. When my sat nav told me "You have arrived", and I clearly hadn't, I asked a woman walking her dog for directions (no sniggering Macca) she told me the house was about a mile further on.
'What 3 Words' would be handy, but only if everyone adopted it.
Lol (at all of it)... Cool beans, a 'proper' house, distanced from the masses;) You'd also hate ours then: 'Greyhound Lodge', and it's a ball-ache to find!:D We also have a unique postcode, which when put into a sat-nav takes you nowhere near our house:eyebrows:
...ably highlighting the fallibility of technology. Solution? As you discovered, you do things the old-fashioned way, get out your car and open your mouth!
Anyway, it's good to make you work for your wages:ner:
