I suspect they're well aware that most sales are in cities where the availability of charging points is a stranglehold and infra structural costs of change prohibitive. Frankly I see hydrogen as the likely winner (at least in cities) in the medium term.

Nice one Al. The new Leaf is much more stylish than the last one. Not quite big enough for a family wagon, though. But I am pretty sure our next main car will be an EV - I'd like a Tesla Model 3 but the family likes an SUV so probably waiting to see how the Model Y and Mustang-E pan out. Whether we like it or not, internal combustion is rapidly on the way out. I don't think manufacturers can keep up with the demand yet though.

The Zoe is built in France, but there may be a few Algerians on the assembly line... Not sure the nationality matters, does it?
My car was built in Turkey... seems well enough built to me
