How do I get a prescription?
You cannot get cannabis-based medicine from your GP – it can only be prescribed by a specialist hospital doctor.
And it is only likely to be prescribed for a small number of patients.
A hospital specialist might consider prescribing medical cannabis if:
your child has one of the rare forms of epilepsy that might be helped by medical cannabis
you have spasticity from MS and treatments for this aren't helping
you have vomiting or feel sick from chemotherapy and anti-sickness treatments aren't helping
The specialist will discuss with you all the other treatment options first, before considering a cannabis-based product.
A prescription for medical cannabis would only be given when it was believed to be in your best interests, and when other treatments hadn't worked or weren't suitable.

I don't really agree with it not being prescibed if it's going to be of use, and I know of folk who have won court cases to get it yet still don't get it.
Personally I wouldn't take non prescription drugs. Hell I don't even drink now lol
I purchased CBD oil ages ago but can't say I found it that helpful...
Very good information on this thread. Be forewarned, using CBD will cause you to fail piss tests for pot. Why you ask? It has no THC? Well the cheap tests most everyone uses doesn’t test for THC, THC only stays in your system for the time one is high. But CBD stays in your system for up to two months. So that’s why they test for CBD, if they have random tests at work, or with a pain med doctor, be aware.
I used CBD in a lollypop form, it didn’t make me high, but I did feel it. And it didn’t make me sleepy, but I slept well. I can’t really say much about it’s pain relieving properties, as it was only the once.

Police intelligence (an oxymoron if ever there was one!) is really a euphemism for info obtained from relatives/friends/neighbours with a grudge.
Personally I can't be doing with the strains which are around these days - it makes me edgy and anxious, so I haven't bothered with it for years. But if I had a condition that would benefit from its use, I would not hesitate.
There's still loads of the old school strains available. Super silver haze is still grown and that's a classic.
Sativa too so no heavy feel.
