Thanks Marco. Lee built the plinth to my design. He must like it himself as he has put it on his site. The top plate is mdf painted in satin silver. Other layers are more mdf and I believe 50mm of delrin which has excellent vibration damping qualities and a baseboard. The delrin is also very heavy which is why the plinth alone weighs 18kg. I will take better pics of the motor unit etc in daylight but here's a couple of pics to show the construction.

Nice one, Paul. Looks great, and just the type of 'sandwich' construction I like. One question though, who's Lee?
I'll probably get him to do a similar type of plinth for my future 'Hammertone Grey' BBC Garrard 301, as I think it'd suit it perfectly:)
