Going to get the no doubt Chinese tree out this year ner
Well done Alex and Sue , Tree looks good , Happy Christmas ,
Are the children getting all excited ? or are they past it yet :christmas:
Looking good, mate! Just how we like our tree presented, although we go a little more vintage with the decs, and use coloured lights, which give a warmer glow (especially in the dark), and is a bit more retro. Really don't like artificial trees, especially those white monstrosities!
I'm sure the turkey will be fab. Have you ever tried goose? No doubt there would be plenty of suppliers near you who stock it. And contrary to what some say, it's not really like duck. It has a similar texture, but a unique (slightly sweet flavour) all of its own - gorgeous stuff, and the goose fat makes legendary roasties!:)
Marco.
Oh dear. Mine is a white/silver one [emoji23] [emoji23], and big. Ooh dear I better not post a pic when up
Cheers Al! Happy Christmas to you too buddy!
Are the kids excited? Oh my gosh yes, think they may pop soon! :D
Not for a few years, and yes, there are places locally that breed them, but I kind of have to have turkey, on the basis of tradition! Will be using goose fat for the roasties, though. :)
For the few years I was on my own I had pepperoni pizza for Christmas dinner!
First time we've had a real one in a decade - pine needles and babies don't really mix well! Nothing wrong with an artificial tree, and I'd like to see photos!
In the old days, goose was the traditional roast meat served on Christmas Day, before we adopted the Yanks tradition of eating turkey...;) I thoroughly recommend you give it a go one year, as done well, it's seriously good:)
Anyway, hope the kids and you guys have a nice one. Have you got my card yet? If not, it's on its way!:santa:
Marco.
