Yeah, although he probably should've done for that karate kick he did!;)
Marco.
Wasn't exactly gbh tbh. Still it was dunc and he was a marked man up here,..
An everton institution so wouldn't surprise me if he has a part to play. Might be a better choice than moyse, as his record lately isn't good.
Well you can't deny the outcome. Everton were in a different league today. Championship instead of League One.
Watford and Norwich are starting to get isolated. Both need to start winning.
Bournemouth have the worst current record tho.
Overall its been an interesting league. Pity Liverpool are so far ahead in many ways but if they lose one it might open up.
So, onto today's League Cup Final at Hampden between Rangers and Celtic.
Here's what my gut tells me is FACT:
Gerrard will win trophies at Rangers - there is no doubt in my mind about that - and Celtic will eventually lose a cup final.
However, will it be today?:hmm:
Last week I would've said yes, based on my belief that in old firm derbies, especially cup finals, the team who *needs* to win it more, and wants it more, usually does - and in terms of the former, that's Rangers, coupled with the fact that it would be Gerrard's first trophy as Rangers manager - and so he will have his players massively fired up to win.
Plus, least week there was a doubt whether or not Edouard, a crucial player for Celtic, especially in cup finals where he invariably has a big say in matters, would be fit. It now seems pretty certain that he will play.
So my thoughts right now? I've changed my mind who I think will win, not just because of Edouard likely playing, but because I detect an equally insatiable/steely desire for Lennon to want to be the manager who wins Celtic 10 trophies in a row - something I hadn't really considered before, and with Celtic already having a winning mentality in finals, that could tip things in their favour.
However, it will NOT be like many Celtic fans seem to think, and be a stroll in the park. Bullshit to that! *If* Celtic win, they will have had to fight for it, and it may even be after extra time.
Anyway, if not, and it's to be Rangers day instead, then good luck to them, as they will have earned it, and it would only make us even more determined to win the league, One thing's for sure though, Rangers being better now than they have been for a long time, and pushing us in every game, has made US better both at home and in Europe, so that challenge can only be a good thing - and long may it continue!
In any case, let's hope it's a good match to watch and may the best team win:cool:
Marco.
Hopefully we will see a good game this afternoon, everyone knows it’s a very hard game to predict, Celtic are of course favorites but Gerrard will learn a lot about his team today which ever way it goes.
