Doux de Montagne.. lovely semi soft cheese this....
Try the extra special cheeses from Aldi and Lidl. Quite a few of them have had gold medals in cheese, 'bake offs', competitions.
I've had a couple that have been stunning, one a special reserve Cheddar.....fabulous and the other a special reserve Stilton....fabulous.
I've been back a few times but they have not been in store, the supply is a bit of a game of chance at times.
They still have some lovely mature Cheddars that are there all the time and I prefer theirs to all the big name mature Cheddars.
Honestly......seriously good cheeses at sane prices.
This thread stinks  :D
Pie d'Angloys on rough oatcakes...
Grated the rest of my Parmigiano-Reggiano DOP Aged 30 Months block. was expensive but a lovely flavour.(got in Sainsburys)

Water biscuits for me - least amount of flavour the better as far as I'm concerned to just taste the cheese. I usually avoid chutney for the same reason, unless it's a standard cheddar or something.
Some oatcakes are pretty rank but good ones are very tasty. Even by themselves
Got this as a pressie today, so will be OK for cheese
