The comment about detail at low volume reminds me of Jerry's comment on hearing my Ocellias.

Maybe the mark of an excellent speaker is this capacity? I recall ELSs being similar.

That's the problem, you upgrade one bit antmd the brain wonders what is not up to the same level as the speakers.
Can't be helped, or ignored.

No I don't think there's an amp made they wouldn't shine with
