Looks like the matching Beko fridge and freezer I bought a few years ago [emoji38]

Pair of Nordost interconnects in luxury packaging.
Unveiling will hopefully occur at some point later today. :)
By the way if it was a dehumidifier I think my ears would be boxed until black and blue by the better half.
So the very large boxes :uhho:, arrived at lunch time, what will SWMBO say, after carefully moving them with a sack trolley I had them in the Lounge ready for unpacking.
So here they are Tannoy Legacy Arden's, mint and only 1 year old.
Once divested of the cardboard then my initial panic subsided:hmm:, a least a bit. So I bi-wired them up, and set them at the default cross-over settings, sat back and put on one of my listening tracks, Ravi Shankar - Tala Rasa Ranga. :wow: are these something :champagne:, much more depth and control and very musical, drums, bass and mid-range just have soo much moooore, and a sweet top end!
Up next was a quick burst of 10cc - The Worst Band in the World, oh these are good indeed.
So it was time to tidy up put the kettle on ready for Sue to come home for lunch. Her initial reaction was, oh they're big but then she compared them to the JBL's and said well its not that bad, PHEW!
So I put on some random music on Audirvana and played around with position and bit until I had more focus at my listening position, this improved it all a bit more. I then fitted the spikes and a slight improvement in focus. I am somewhat limited where they can go but am able to move them in and out from the rear wall, at the moment the front of the speaker are 30" out into the room and they sound pretty good.
Whilst writing this I have listened some more and I think I have made the right decision. I did some P/Xing with the dealer with an tone arm, speakers and CDP, so at the end of the day did not have to put up much cash, so I quite pleased. By the way I still have the JBL's.

Journey end time!
Can't beat 15 inch Tannoys. Scale, texture, drama, finesse.
And, by some magic, the size of the boxes seem to diminish over time.
One of the best speakers ever made - good choice!
Thanks chaps, I am rather pleased, Cheshire-Cat comes to mind.
I took a bit of a punt buying them, as only could see photos, and it was too far to go and see and hear them, nearly 500miles. I suspect they would have gone anyway if I had delayed. I read up on them and having heard my mates Tannoy Kensington GR's (he has the same amp as me) I thought well they can't be that far removed from them.
I am listening to my favourite test tracks but just keep letting the LP's play as each one sounds so good.:champagne::champagne::champagne:
I think I may nearing the end of the road with my system apart from the odd tweak here and there, I better not say that too loud though!
All I've heard on the Legacy series are good things. Phil (hifinutt) has a pair of Eatons and rates them highly. Was tempted by the Grade B Legacy Ardens nintrioics have, but it would have bean a big spend. I have to slob it with old Berkeleys.
Do give the energy and treble controls a play. I find it helps a great deal.
The Cheshire smile will not wane any time soon. :)
