Well, yes, plus I was out of the office a lot (sometimes for the whole week) at meetings so there was less scope for me to be bothered or for grievances to build up. Also, as I wore a suit, I simply took my jacket off if I was too hot, and put it back on again if I got too cold.
We also wore suits, but that wasn't the point. It wouldn't have mattered what we were wearing. Sitting in permanent cold draught isn't good for you. Point taken though about being out the office. In the particular job I was talking about (which I only stuck for 5 months), you were in from 9am, often until 8pm, permanently sat at a desk, even during lunch breaks.
So imagine having to sit in a draught for hours on end, simply because some of inconsiderate bint's 'wonky thermostat' !
Marco.
I think it was Billy Connolly who said "There's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes". I work in a tee shirt for about eight months of the years, but I always carry other clothes in the van to allow for pretty much any weather we may get. My van has a tailgate rather than "barn doors", and if I get a shower it's a good time to enjoy a brew and a fag while sheltering. One of my simple pleasures :)
17C and rising here. Blue sky and lots of sunshine, I'll be pretty warm later!
15°C here... Otherwise, identical!:)

Beautiful here today.. was 25° when I got in car which only went down to 24° on the way round to Colin's...
Just as I like it :)
Got home and had dinner round my neighbour's which was lovely...
Well you certainly had a busy morning... Oh wait, dinner is what southern and posh folk call their tea. :) I'm sure we all live in the same time zone, so why do southern folk have their dinner at the same time as northerners have a chippy tea and Scots are tucking into their fish supper?
My brother, presumably in an attempt to appear cultured, calls his dinner lunch, but I know where he came from, and how when he ate cornflakes it sounded like an army marching along Brighton beach.
