Windy city.. [emoji106]
Got a new toslink cable.
A Supra Zac.
That should finish my cable changes.
This is from my phono stage to preamp. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0291c269d6.jpg
That almost looks a computer lead of yesteryear. How much did it set you back Grant?

Supra ZAC Fibre Optic Interconnect
ZAC stands for Zero Attenuation Concept. The innovative furbished curving of the optical fibre core tip to get a zero divergence loss enables plastic fibre optics to be used, and to achieve the same transmission quality as a glass fibre core in combination with the strength and flexibility of the plastic core.
also has high band width, garanteed for 32 bit/384 kHz! - Headroom for comming digital studio-like formats.
Metal ends too... Think They are about £45 per metre
Thx grant seems like a well made wire and one I'll keep an eye on if and when I replace any of mine.

going to get one of there usb cables later too.
How's the Quad sounding Grant . Are you still using it as a preamp ?
yup, brian, still as before. dac has improved too .. whole thing is singing nicely now. Just need a new usb cable as i forgot the connection between pc and phono when recording. its just a basic thing and sure i can improve things.
Still learning about the recording software too. extremely powerful and yet not destructive at same time. anything done and saved can be turned back should you want. Very clever.
Also think the cart head is slightly off true as im getting a slight bit of distortion. Going to have a look at it when i feel i can stand long enough
