Was reading that earlier. Yup it's all about access to the TV contracts really.
The Germans have caps on salary and its cheap to get in so this works for their game.
I see we are getting a goal fest at City spurs game.. 3_2 already

They were already there and didn't have a national professional league at time.
Think that was it.
When, and it will be when... The English game needs a boost to keep the money rolling in it will happen
I hope so, but I seriously have my doubts, as we need them more than they need us. Why do you think that will change, and the English game will need a boost? Money's flowing in there, from all angles, and I can't see that changing anytime soon.
Plus, I also don't think they want us there [rightfully for the hooligan element both of our teams carry], but also I think because of the threat we'd be if we had access to EPL fortunes. Quite simply, if the financial situation was made into a level playing field, so that we were no longer the 'poor relations', we'd be as big as anyone in that league bar Man Utd and Liverpool, and potentially (given time) as successful on the pitch.

All gravy trains end or slow. It will happen. Might be a while but some thing will change sometime. TV companies would love it
Fair enough, and indeed the TV companies would lap it up. Just imagine the audience viewing figures, WORLDWIDE, of games such as Man Utd v Rangers or Celtic v Liverpool...!!
Marco.
Very comfortable win, was expecting a lot more from a poor Hearts team.
Good result against Hearts, guys! Although they haven't really laid a glove on you all season...
Just need to see if you can achieve some consistency now, and try and win all of your remaining games. You've not had too much difficulty against the bigger teams this season, but rather the Dundees, Livingstons and Motherwells. Sort that out, and next season will defo be interesting!:)
As for us, we seem desperate to CRAWL over the line, rather than race towards it:doh: Never mind as they used to say: "1-0 to the Arsenal", it's now "0-0 to the Celtic"! Too many players I think have it in their heads that the league is already won/over (which to all intents and purposes it is), and don't want to risk injuries, and I think that mentality is affecting performances...
So hopefully Lennon will boot some bums, and the players will wake up and start producing the performances that they're capable of, especially in time for the cup final.
