Hi Barry
I was looking to buy a Ikeda 9ts after seeing some good reviews for it,but i came across a dealer who had a ex-demo kai for sale with only a few hrs use on it.Made him a offer which he accepted.Have to say its the best cartridge i have heard its just fantastic.I was using a Van den hul grasshopper before which was very good, but it had to go because i changed my tonearm from a Origin live Conqueror to the Enterprise and the grasshopper just did not gel with the Enterprise.
Have had many cartridges, Audionote,Van den hul,Lyra,Koetsu and Dynavector. And this is by far the best it just does everything so right.
Richard
Well done - you were lucky there. :) The 'Kai' retails for €8,500!
I use an Ikeda 9C III in an Ikeda-modified Ortofon 309 12" arm. Another member here uses an Ikeda 9TT in the Ikeda 9" arm.
Yes i was i only paid £3,000 Mind that was 3 yrs ago.I did think about the Ikeda 12 inch arm at one time, but the Enterprise is very good loads better than anything else i have heard or owned.
What turntable do you use Barry?
