that will save me some effort;)
Exactly.
We are doing well with vaccination but how is Spain, Portugal, Italy, Turkey etc getting on ? Just heard today that Nice is now in total lockdown and so are parts of Germany - all those places who were doing better than us !! You could go on holiday to somewhere with high infection rates and everything closed down, then you might well have to isolate for ten days on your return. Apparently hasn't stopped hundreds of thousands booking holidays this week.
Exactly, Dave. Why on earth potentially expose yourself to a whole world of grief - for the sake of WHAT...??
It's beyond idiocy. In terms of foreign holidays this year, just write it off as a bad job and look forward to 2022! That's the sensible thing to do:)
Marco.
going abroad on holiday is what a lot of working people live for.
No me neither, if i have a holiday booked I usually don't think about it until the night before then find I've got no clean clothes. And I average a holiday about once every five years.
But I know people who always go three times a year and as soon as they come back they are counting down the weeks to the next one.
Then they can 'live' for something else for the next 12 months, and just for ONCE holiday in the UK, surely? It's not the end of the world, FFS.
As I said, hell mend them if they get stuck somewhere and have to quarantine for goodness knows how long, or worse catch the virus and become ill, hundreds of miles from home.
Marco.
And in your opinion, is that healthy or normal behaviour? They need a damn good slap, IMO. Sorry, but I have little tolerance for folks with that type of mentality. Sometimes in life what SHOULD happen, for the greater good of others and you, takes precedence over what you want to happen.
Marco.
No they like the heat and the sun, that's the reason they go.
