First day of May and the first glorious day of Summer.
8C, sunny in a blue cloudless sky. Expected to reach 23C mid-afternoon. :)
9C set to rise to 21C and comparatively low windspeed, it's looking good for once.
Cloudy 11c so far today
Surely 1st June is the first day of (meteorological) summer? Or was that a joke that went over my head? [emoji846]
Lovely here (20c expected and no cloud at all). My clay pigeon shooting day with son Will tomorrow looks like it will be good weather but deteriorating rapidly for the planned evening BBQ! Thundery showers for Sunday, and of course gloomy grey and much colder for Bank Holiday Monday!
Clouded over here now but did have a walk in the sun.
Rain forecast for teatime. Let's see if it can manage it this time. Sunday is rain all day but Monday looks good.
It's been a lovely sunny day so far.
Now to the moan - it's so dry. Something like 2mm of rain in April and it's taking it's toll on the lawn which is now about 20% brown.
You need some water butts. You've got rain due there on Sunday night so get out now and buy a couple.
When I had the allotment I had six of them. Would last about 4 weeks without rain but you won't need that much just for a lawn unless it's laid on top of rubble like they mostly are round here. A week without rain and it's all brown but that's pretty rare occurence.
Unfortunately/fortunately we have a large garden with an awful lot of lawn. Water butts and cans just aren't practical unless it's to save a few plants. We need rain. Having said that, we back onto a largish field which this year has Winter Wheat and that is about 12 inches high and lush green. That doesn't get rain either.
12C and partially cloudy. Expected to reach 21C later today with rain around teatime.
We had a bit of rain here yesterday evening, not much though. More forecast for late evening and through the night.
Still no rain, cloudy and 12c this morning
Lovely day, sunny for our clay pigeon shooting which Will really enjoyed, and was really good at - only missed 3 out of 30 and we’ve already booked another session - this could get expensive!
Back home for a BBQ and the rain did arrive as predicted, but luckily 5 minutes after I had finished cooking.
Motorbike show at Stonham Barns to walk round tomorrow morning, maybe a shower or two, more chance late afternoon/evening but we will be at step-father in law’s 70th birthday party by then. Busy weekend by my standards.
We had some rain at tea time as predicted but was barely enough to wet the ground, although it was enough to give off that 'water on hot cement' smell so that was something.
Started again once it got dark and hammering down now.
13C, hazy blue sky. Expected to reach 19C around midday with rain around teatime.
Drizzle here, whole week ahead looks crap now.
10c after a very wet night dry but cloudy
An OK day. Light cloud, so not sunny but warm.
The promised rain for yesterday evening and night was light and lasted about 10 mins.
Now is the best part of the day - some sun and still warm at 17c.
Not had any sun at all here today, not even ten minutes.
Forecast has changed now showing sun from Tuesday on.
12C rising to 17C later. Rain expected throughout the afternoon. (Typical Bank Holiday weather! )
Rubbish here too 12C max only positive is no wind.
A bit brighter today although only 8c.
Coler and grey all day. What do you expect for a Bank holiday ?
Usual bank holiday weather, only a bit drier. At least I had no problems with traffic (haven't left the house all day).
Been trying to rain here all day but not got past spitting.
The rain has yet to materialise, but my phone informs me rain is likely in half an hour's time.
Very still here not even a gentle breeze. No storm is forecast though and chance of rain is only 30 percent.
No rain but has been dull all day. Still got the BBQ done, so that was a bonus.
10C and partially cloudy. Expected to reach 17C later in the day, but no rain.
It didn't rain yesterday, which it was supposed to do, but I'm not complaining!
A bit brighter today and 8c
was sunny here but clouded over now.
8C, blue sky and sunny. Will reach 13C later, with some rain possible late afternoon.
Chilly start here only 6C.
Dull and supposed to rain, only 12c. Hopefully gets better as the week goes on.
just been into the town, it's sunny but a definite chill in the air. Doesn't feel like May.
8C, may reach 15C. Rain likely mid afternoon.
6C and dull but might get to 15C later.
Not seeing any heatwaves in the near future. Would say it's quite chilly for May. According to Met Office it won't pick up until near the end of the month.
I find myself saying this, same time every year: "Ne'er cast a clout 'til May is out" :) I did get to spend a pleasant afternoon yesterday weeding, because we did get some sun. No sun today.
9c and light rain so far this morning
12C and partially cloudy. Expected to rise to 18C. No rain forecast. :)
Sun just came out here but not expecting much for today.
Lovely sunny day so far - should get to 17c. 19c tomorrow, then nose-dives to 14c and rain for Sunday, when I am due to spend the day at Snetterton watching motor racing. Still, the changing track conditions should make it lively!
It's been another beautiful day here today; only spoilt for me upon learning the local election results. It would seem "the man upstairs" is unhappy as well, as it is now starting to cloud over.
I'm saying nothing as I might get banned!
(and I'm not talking about the weather)
