Although, I have to admit that the price difference between the 8xp and the 8xpd (the one with a dac included), is rather good price-wise.

I am renowned for turning down request for payments to magazines and forums, if that payment is in any way going to be associated with getting better exposure and privileges. Just ask wigwam, PFM, and the ridiculous financial demands by head-fi amongst many. Naturally, my position on payments has not gone down well with some, who have then tried to cover their greed with accusations against me:lol:.
But I am pleased to let it be known that magazines like What HIFI and sites like AoS have never asked me for a single financial contribution of any sorts:).
