Last night, on Film4, I saw the digital frame-for-frame 4K restoration of Wim Wenders "Wings of Desire". This having been done in celebration of the film's 35th anniversary.

I have a copy, but sadly it's only a standard DVD.
An American re-make was made in 1998, with Nick Cage and Meg Ryan - but IMO whilst it was a decent stab, it was in no way superior to the Wender's original. This I find to be sadly typical of American re-makes.
