I like bread with a hard crust, so all the supermarket packaged 'softies' don't do it for me, and I'm not a big toast guy, which for me is all that stuff's good for. Therefore, for breakfast I have a French stick with proper butter (don't like spreads) and jam - a la petit déjeuner:)

I don't know, I didn't watch her make it. We do have a recipe book for Indian dishes, as well as all the necessary herbs and spices, so it quite likely it was homemade. A lot of African cuisine is spicy: chill peppers and garlic are freely used.
