That's the problem, too: the assumption that everyone on the net uses Twitter... I don't, and have no intention of doing so either, as it's completely irrelevant to my lifestyle. It seems that I'm not alone.
No disrespect to Gordon, but he has a trade account here, so should be using it more often to inform AoS members of the current stock situation with his DACs, and indeed communicate with them more in general. You can't just 'Tweet' a message on the Internet and automatically assume that everyone who needs to see it *has* seen it.
That is the purpose of having a trade account - the idea is that you use it! ;)

If Gordon wants his DAC to take off properly in the audiophile community (and not just in 'Computer Geekland'), he'll need to adopt a bit more of a 'hands on' approach. In that respect, he could do worse than take a leaf out of Stan's book :)

The other thing is, if you've got 450 people waiting for a DAC, as apparently was the case last time, you don't just produce a new batch of 500, or whatever (and so sell out again immediately, forcing folk to wait yet again) - you produce 1000 (or more) units, thus allowing stock to be held, and for new customers to order and receive their DACs quickly.
The fact is that potential customers have a finite level of patience, so you have to grab them while they're 'hot', otherwise they lose interest and go off and buy something else. I certainly don't wish to teach Gordon 'how to suck eggs', but if he wants his DAC to truly take off big time, then he has to be suitably switched on and 'dialled into' the bigger picture :)
