Done my clapping tonight.. along with the ferries hooting their horns and fireworks locally ;)
Aye i was out with the rest of the road as Chezza was walking up. Good on her... Shes such a sensitive creature crying again..
Can't work out if Chezza is a daughter or a pet....
My Wife Cheryl
Oh now I get it... the crying was about the clapping ? I'm the same way.. I find it very moving...
She a Nurse, Shes always parks the car & walks up at the same time everyone cheers for front liners..
Bless her....
We live in a small village of about 300 and although we're on the main street we're quite set back - went out to clap, but doubt anyone heard us. We could hear pans being bashed though, so next week I'll be getting the kids out with their utensils! Let's hope we're through this as soon and as safely as possible.
I've volunteered but as yet not had a job to do.... I'll sign in each day and see how it goes..
Im hoping all the prats dont get tempted by the good weather this weekend, i noticed more traffic outside yesterdays which is a worry.
There seem to be far more 'wanted' ads than usual in the Private Exhibitions section. Must be a reflection of current boredom levels, with everybody confined to barracks!
Should just be executed on spot
At least for once he s not a UK numpty. Someone needs to try it on him !
I would do exactly the same to him and make sure the car was travelling 2 or 3 mph faster than he could run. Job done
Just noticed my profile page has gone past 12,000 visits - folk must be desperately bored! Or perhaps hoping for some of my technical insight which admittedly I do keep rather well hidden :)
Its the Fart Gas. People just love the stuff.
The Chase ITV4
Bradley 'The ancient astronomer Ptolemy lived in what country?'
Contestant: 'Germany.'
And she didn't know the names of any Tudor kings.
She knew that some bloke I'd never heard of was a judge on the Irish version of 'The Voice' though so fair play.
Good thing you weren't on the show - not knowing that Irish 'Voice' judge's name, that would be embarrassing
The questions were really hard, much more so than normally. Whereas the Chaser got questions like 'What colour are the clubs in a deck of cards?'
The contestants on the previous show must have won a fortune.
I'm guessing the chaser was Jenny Ryan (the one they call "The Vixen" like she's something sexy, I call her "The Manatee"). Questions are always skewed in her favour :(
No it was 'The Sinner Man'.
It's the same on all these shows. Like on Bullseye if they won the car then the next week Bully's mystery prize would be a fitted kitchen.
Well, as a connoisseur Bullseye viewer I have to pull you up on a couple of points. :) Number 1, It's the star prize hiding behind Bully, not a mystery (albeit it is a mystery) and having watched hundreds of episodes I have never seen a fitted kitchen as the *star* prize. However, plenty of people living in Birmingham have won a speedboat... :D
Have you ever seen two enormously fat blokes win a campervan? Has that ever happened?
I remember seeing one where the runners up were handed that trophy and one of them made some sarcastic comment, and you should have seen Jim's face. Saw a darker side to Jim that day...
You're right it was the 'Special Prize' on the prize board and the 'Star Prize hiding behind Bully.' There was no mystery prize. Even though the nature of the Star Prize was a mystery until you won it or didn't ( hence the 'look what you could have won' line). But according to Wikipedia 'Sometimes in the earlier series, less lavish Star Prizes (fitted kitchens and the like) were given away so as to fit within the IBA's prize limits'
In my defence it was 35 years ago...
That's handy, the mutt got me up before 6am to go outside and then having nothing else to do, I took a glance at the Tesco delivery slot bookings and found a free one. They are like gold dust at the moment!
The forthcoming one is in a couple of weeks, which suits, as I had a recent one from Iceland which is keeping me going.
Getting home grocery deliveries from the major supermarkets in this area is a bit tricky to say the least at the moment.
Damn glad I bought an extra freezer as all the problems started kicking off a couple of months ago.
Had to do 2 full household shops today.. myself and for Colin.. wearing my mask of course
Nightmare it was... Asda had a huge queue, one out one in... then 2 scanners, one for my shopping and one for Colins... was going to put a new tv for the bedroom on Colins bill hoping he wouldn't notice but thought better of it  :lol:
Quite liked this and tbh I'm pretty much in same frame of mind I think.

Absolutely Grant...
I've placed a Parlour Palm in my new bathroom... like this:

I'm not very good with plants so I'm taking votes on how long it will last... I'm hoping for at least 4 weeks
So can I get out on the m/bike at the moment?
If I get stopped could I say it's my daily exercise?
I need to exercise one hand for clutch and another for brake... does that count?
Quite into house plants, here’s the Dracena & Money Tree in my hall, the Dracena was about an inch tall when I got it.

Had enough of that with my Honda C90 Cub twenty years ago. Mechanically it was brilliant, but kept getting punctures. Had to push it over five miles once. Probably down to me riding along the canal towpath! :)
I should have kept it, mint examples are worth a fortune now. Never mind, I've got the later 125 Honda Innova tucked away, also mint, but not getting used.
My wife was moaning about TV progammes being rubbish. I pointed out to her that she was watching an old 'Murder She Wrote'!
