Looks like a bargain there to be had!
The first Leak transistor amps were a comparative disappointment too.
I have a few of those too, not all shown here:

Not eBay but this has to be a steal - I mean I can;t believe he didn't put this on eBay would have sparked a bidding war, and ONLY £120:

Ruark Templar 2

So tempted by this Decca SC4E (the ultimate Decca?). But I musn't, 'cos it needs a rebuild and I can't splash out another £500.

It's nearly gone anyway!
Might be of interest to someone wanting a sensitive pair of speakers, the Forte was a good speaker

Comparatively Barry, but it showed surface corrosion on the iron parts, which no doubt extended to the internals and the diamond tip didn't look right to me. So if I'd bought it I'd have needed to send it to John Wright for a refurb and then I'd have wanted a line contact tip on it. Hence the £500 I quoted. :)
Strange listing, this is for a single speaker.. and way over priced for a single speaker to be honest..

Strange one that. Why just a single RS3 ? They were supplied in pairs only.
Also, there is clearly damage to the grille and what look to be marks on the front badge, so not 'new'.
Whaaaaat!!!! I know older stuff is fetching reasonable prices now!!! But am I missing something

Stereo 20 maybe £400, the deck maybe £150, Tuner £100 tops, not 'Shure' about the cartridge ho ho, and pre-amp essentially worthless. Add some on for the valves, still can't see how it can be more than a grand unless you really want the cabinet. And you could have one made for a lot less than the price difference. Over-optimistic at £2600
Don't minty (like that one) Stereo 20s fetch more than £400? I'd have thought £500-700.... However, I'm no expert on this. It's a nice thing though, and perfect for someone wanting to complete their 1960s lounge with some hi-fi kit from the period :)
Marco.
Recently they go for between £450 and £800 on eBay - so £600 is would be more accurate. Fair point.
Fairly reasonable BIN price for a Thorens (and extras) Collection only, Scarborough

Vintage Sugden A21 looking in nice condition. Tad pricey! I remember paying £370 for a modern A21a 6 months ago.

:D
Ah, a highland swoop :eyebrows: nice buy.
And how many do you have?
Seriously though, mine is missing a weight and only has one paddle. Also means I can send a wand for a rewire without losing the use of the arm. Plus I now have spares if I ever need them.
LOL - "New unbowed"
