C'mon... really?

With a hole on the wood in the back I imagine... and the crossover, what has he done to it?
Probably just jumped it with a cap as as super tweeter
That was if he knew what he was doing, a hole made for this purpose (a super tweeter?) and the electric tape on the terminals tell me otherwise... :)
It doesnt appear to be screwed on.. Could it be stuck on or maybe just jammed in a hole.. He could just have sat it on top in a little box or made a little stand. That way it would be easily removable. Guess someone will buy them
The T27 tweeter needs no supertweeter anyway. It can be used as one, the top end goes up to a claimed 30kHz.
Expensive but beautiful vintage cabinets for Tannoy 15" DCs, similar to Lockwood Majors: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RCA-RCA-Loud...-/121549858828

Now that is quality retro!
Marco.
Look like radiators. Not my cuppa tea.
Sure they will be great though!
Haha, lol. Yup, the looks are certainly liable to divide opinion. That '1950s studio control room' aesthetic, however, is right up my street, and I suspect Jo's too, if he sees this ;)
Marco.
For those who are not accustomed to slumming it with the (even more)crazies over on the Lenco forum, something rather special that needs to be shared more widely:

If you want some bling with your 301...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Garrard-30...:SEMK:UK:SHOWI
Yeah, too much bling there..
Could not agree more and it claims to be a Garrard 301 Turntable SPECIAL EDITION, which of course it's not. Only Loricraft Audio can issue Garrard SPECIAL EDITIONS, as they own the licence to the name and trademark. Grail Audio are on a sticky wicket calling it such. In fact the owners of Garrard are Gradiente and as of the end of last year they appointed Loricraft as their representatives with respect to Garrard, which has extended their rights to the trademark even further. In my opinion, this is just a bit of blinged up tat :(
Actually, I didn't know that it was one belonging to Audio Grail. I normally like what they do with Garrards (especially their BBC Hammerite Grey 301s, which for me are gorgeous), but not with that example, although that's largely because I'm from the rather 'sober' and functional school of T/T design, and have an acute aversion to bling!
Others might think it's fantastic....
Marco.
Quick, buy these rare and collectable records now before they're snapped up at such bargain prices.....:mental:

Looks like he has 2 for sale.
Yes, but thefact is it's not a GARRARD Special Edition only Loricraft can do that as they have the rights to the name and are the only people who can sell genuine Garrard products. BTW, Loricraft matched the paint on the Hammerite 301s, with the help of the former chief engineer at the Garrard Swindon factory, over 20 years ago, they have been producing factory re-manifactured 301s and 401s for over 30 years. They have the original set up equipment from the Swindon factory at their works in Lambourn.
Thats why they call it an Audio Grail 301 special edition on box etc.... The fact that it was originally made by garrard and has a badge on is likely to be legal, just as If I had done one up, and plenty folk do. Hard to say, but they would have to be taken to court to find out I guess
Fair point, Paul. I have no issues with what you're saying in that respect - just simply commenting on the aesthetics of the T/Ts concerned :)
Marco.
nowt wrong with the carpenters ,her voice is amazing! mind you so is mine if you over dub it 200 times!
