The Jommelli piece, the main and longest work on this CD at 36 minutes is frankly awful.
The Stabat Mater by Giovanni Sances also on the CD is a mere 12 minutes long and is astronishingly beautiful.

And a thoroughly enjoyable CD of English harpsichord music - great music by Purcell, Croft and Blow - but the standout work is by one Thomas Chilcot, who I hadn't even heard of before!

Mmmm - fascinating music - reasonably tonal, nice percussion/drums in places in the symphonies - excellent sq.
I especially like the horn concerto. :thumbsup:

I have to concur: beautifully addictive, like that of Franz Schreker but in other order of things...
I have the Okko Kamu version on BIS, and on top of a thoughtful interpretation, the sound is magnificent.
