Have we really reached the stage where this type of behaviour is considered acceptable? Unfortunately, yes! Seems we have our own Marjory Taylor Green/Lauren Boebert.

Islamophobia? Give me a break. Partygate, wallpapergate? Trivial rubbish. Just shows the total paucity of ideas in the opposition that that was the best they could come up with.

Promoting a sex offender - one of the unforced errors but hardly a major event in our lives.

Northern Ireland - insoluble problem, always has been long before Brexit.

He can't leave office until a new party leader is elected. Or I suppose he could and there could be a caretaker PM but is that really necessary?

I'll skip all the unsubstantiated corruption claims and the 'one man's opinion' stuff.

No-one's comparing to Churchill. Although if Churchill had been around today he would get a lot more grief than Johnson.

Even though his performance has been disappointing he was nothing like as bad as Gordon Brown. Or Teresa May. And are we forgetting that the alternative at the time was Jeremy Corbyn and his woke warriors?

yes the choice could be better but it never has been in the past either so there's no reason to expect change there. Although I do look forward to this unprecedented new era where politicians will be expected to tell the truth all the time. That should be interesting.

I don't think this behaviour shows that we are following the US - our politicians have probably always been like this. The difference being that images of such actions weren't headed for global scrutiny within seconds and for all eternity.

I think what she misses is that sign to press etc is that sign to the general public.
Now we know that's what most feel privately but now she's stuck with it for life.

I can see why you like Johnson! BTW, Boris sees himself as a Churchillian figure. Northern Ireland was solved until Boris broke it. That is just plain wrong. UK Politics and politicians were not always like this, if for no other reason that they would be held accountable for this type of behaviour. That is the problem that the US is facing: the Republicans, who had a majority in the Senate blocked any attempt to punish Trump or hold him to account. Boris is without question a bargain bin Trump!
