My thoughts as well Shane... strange for Geoff not to be around... hope he is ok too...

How about this for idiot behaviour.
Car Waxing bathroom tiles on a regular basis. Such muppetry
 :rfl:
Well, I guess he's got to do something to occupy his spare time, so it's either that or wanking over panty sites, as he's confessed to being impotent!:lol:
Poor Marie.... I hear she's got shares now in 'Dildos-R-Us'.
Marco.
 I have absolutely no idea what you two are on about!
Think about 'our friend' from the land of glorified wooden huts...;)
Marco.
My partner is away in Africa to attend a funeral.
To contact her I can easily use her mobile number prefixed with the IDD country code. However that costs a fortune - last time I ran up a £250 phone bill! So now I use 'Talk Home' cards: pre-payment cards that can buy you over three hours, depending on location.
The only snag is you have to enter 35 digits: 11 to dial access; a 10 digit PIN, and then the 14 digit phone number. Easy to make a mistake, but you do save a hell of a lot of money.
All the talk is about the Corona virus but this is also flu season and people catch and die from that in large numbers.
so it is at moment not really killing any more than flu is... But its difficult not to get swept up in it thats for sure..Quote:
While everyone is in a panic about the coronavirus (officially renamed COVID-19 by the World Health Organization), there's an even deadlier virus many people are forgetting about: the flu.
Flu season is hitting its stride right now in the US. So far, the CDC has estimated (based on weekly influenza surveillance data) that at least 12,000 people have died from influenza between Oct. 1, 2019 through Feb. 1, 2020, and the number of deaths may be as high as 30,000.
The CDC also estimates that up to 31 million Americans have caught the flu this season, with 210,000 to 370,000 flu sufferers hospitalized because of the virus.
Is it the highly contagious nature of Corona virus that's the issue, rather than the severity of the illness? Rather than trying to keep folk away from each other by closing schools, cancelling public gatherings, etc (I don't believe anything can halt its spread), perhaps Dept of Health should be concentrating their efforts on the elderly and those with weak immune systems.
I'm not worrying about it personally, my constitution is pretty robust - one of the plated-up and frozen meals Mrs P made for me before bogging off to Egypt was decidedly dodgy, but after a quick bout of vomiting I was right as rain :)
They should have stopped all flights and ships in to country. Seige mentality
We would also have to arm our coastguard and authorise them to fire on any incoming vessels. A few would still get through. May as well try to stop insects entering your house :(
Raf.. Bomb the bastards [emoji23]
We'll know things have got really bad when the politicians disappear from our telly screens and are replaced by cardboard cutouts - but I can't say for certain we'd notice
The panic buying has started!

It's not as if the stock at supermarkets will never be replaced. Folks will end up with months worth of goods, only to find the shelves re-stocked within days.
I anticipated something similar in the run up to Brexit and stocked up on likely essentials last summer.
I have also taken the precaution of opening a Tesco account and arranging grocery deliveries. No point mingling with the masses unnecessarily in view of the probably increasing health risk.
Idiots...::doh::wanker:
I have ZERO time for brainless muppets like that. Anyway, good to see you posting again, mate! Hope you're feeling a bit better:)
Marco.
Welcome back Geoff!
Right well I've contacted the police so they can call off the search. I don't think you realise just how much their underwater search teams charge :(
And I bet all the local hospitals will be relieved to know I won't be phoning daily to ask if there's any new admissions fitting your description. I've never seen a photo of you, so I just assumed you look and sound a bit like The Sweeney's Jack Regan, but with added muscles
they are all going to try and find hand gel:lol: its sold out everywhere, and most of it isnt strong enough anyway.. Ive a few used ones in house and car, all half empty.. ive just filled them up a fair bit with ipa and shook.. itl be well over 75% now:eek:
got 41/2 bottles of between 75 and 85%... just dont smoke
I'm now on day 6 of having the house to myself (Anita gets back tomorrow), and I've manged to cope ok, apart from Monday's little food poisoning incident. Six days of record playing, and no Emmerdale/Corrie/East Benders. I feel oddly disconnected from the world  Perhaps when I was in Morrisons yesterday buying my Kegworth cakes I should have picked up a copy of Hello! magazine. Get back in touch with reality :)
I'm on my own this week, 50kg of pasta would be plenty :)
Besides, I love using a Heinz Spaghetti hoop.as a cock ring.
:D I measure my Pasta & Rice out to exactly 100g servings. Gotta keep my Carb intake to a minimum. 100g is more than enough, I seldom eat all the serving anyway.
:lolsign:
:D:eyebrows:
Marco.
Today I got fed up with trying to get a Yamaha CD -S300 in Black to go with my Yamaha S-500 amp.
I just liked to have the 2 matched units because they get good reviews and the DAC is no slouch either
I have had one bid rejected because the seller got all funny and decided he didnt want Paypal and wanted the person who bought to organise the shipping himself !! FFS and then seeing one on there new with a 10% discount for £225 ish ,but that offer has sailed !!
So rather than spend £140 ish on a second hand one that might be dead after its been posted , my wallet sprang open ,and after I found one on Amazon (3 left) for £249 -Boom
Now I feel epic (sort of )
only live once anto:)
Took the mutt for a walk round the local green. Next to nobody about and hardly any traffic either, very unusual even for a Sunday.
Yes - the air quality around here has noticeably improved due to lack of traffic.
I try and nip out when everyone is still in bed. Like heaven.
weather has been nicer too..
Maybe some good weather may make it a bit better
New 'Old Tech' anybody?
https://www.theguardian.com/global/2...-and-cassettes
Easy answer to that before reading it. Everything is utter shite these days.
Today ,I was busy rolling , but after dinner the delivery man dropped off my new Yamaha CD-S300 CD player and postie dropped the interconnects I bought from Andyrlb to put in it :eyebrows:
Havent had a chance to meddle with them yet !!!
Today I was mainly putting the Yamaha in the stack (I took out the Minidisc player as I dont use it )
I was pleasantly suprised as it sounds more defined and brighter that the old Denon DCD 615 with the £5 DAC on it :eyebrows:
At least the Yam remote for the S 500 amp is now able to do more functions (it was setup to operate a CD S300 but they did supply a new remote for the cd player on its own ) just in case you dont own a Yamaha amp from the same series
It kept me occupied listening to it ,whilst I sort through the Commodore 64 computer stuff and Sinclair spectrum games and consoles I fetched out of the loft !
Today im wondering is i ought to ask for a refund for some speakers i bought last week that are pick up only. I dont really want to be picking them up & the seller says the same but this could easily be a long drawn out wait as he said he'd let me know! Ive been here before & lost a load of money in the process.
Why can you no longer pick them up? What's changed really? You don't have to go in his house - he can run cable through window and connect them outside. You have a listen, and if happy just unplug and off you jolly well pop :)
Close contact issues. Its not worth the shit for the sake of speakers. I dont know why i paid him up front really but he wanted it in his PP. Smells like its my money that the missus aint getting her hands on type of thing lol..
You're right of course Andre. My post was a bit hasty - I would have to decline pick up too, thinking about it. Hope you can get your cash back :)
Are locksmiths key workers?
Their system collapsed today but is working again
