The prices in Germany for the Sony ES amps is higher again I think
Dont think the es are much better than the qs. certainly not 4 times.lol. ps brian mine is singing well now its getting a lot of use. The speaker problem has been fixed too.
T & A speakers, transmission lines. Quite near to me too. Anyone know if they are any good? - T&A in general, I mean.

That's the way to do it brother , gives you more time to relax and listen to the music
Don't think I've heard the Celestions . Better than the Fanes ? If so they must be good
'Custom' Lowther Acoustas. By custom, I think he's referring to the fact that somebody has sawn off the bottom 18" of the cabinets, thereby removing the essential horn flare.

Oh dear! The drivers are certainly worth a Lowther trade-in, but those cabinets are f*cked.
Look like junk to me.:)
£258 a driver is the new for old, so 500 quid for new drivers. Thats about half price I guess. But you would need to build new cabs as well.
Oh baby please!!
The seller has put a £239 starting price on this 303 - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QUAD-303-S...sAAOSwaA5Wj9IG
Look at the state of it!
S.
i love the description lol

bad luck pal,its the wrong 774!
Acoustic Solutions? Don't think so.
EDIT: It's been corrected now.
Best combo money can buy? And whats a quick rebalance lol... A chancer but hey there are fools out there
Really Grant? Interesting - that you say that. I was always under the impression that the QS series were victims of cost cutting and therefor not in the same league as ES - having said that, I have never heard QS stereo gear - I have a QS AV receiver, and did find it more musical than my second from TOTR Denon AVR. Hmm, I must look out for a QS amp and give one a try.
What can one say..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/hifi-sony-...EAAOSwA4dWJq59
Does look a bit tatty, at least it's a later one and not too bent. The heatsink looks intact. He has another 303 for sale too, same sort of state.
The heatsink fins are quite prone to damage when shipping a 303. I have a 303 that was quite well packed, but got damaged in this way.
Decca C4E Mk.IV elliptical FFSS cartridge.
Obviously causing some interest. The bidding is up to £411 and the listing ends tonight. Could it set a record for an FFSS?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1619365367...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I'd certainly like it, but not at that sort of money, even though in sound terms it's probably worth it (they sound fantastic).
Think I'll stick with the Mk.III ellipticals I have :).
Grab a bargain?
There's a very good second hand British CD player offered on eBay with an incorrect listing title and it's not attracting much attention. I won't show it on here for obvious reasons, but if anybody is in the market for a nice player at hopefully around the £300 mark, PM me and I'll send a link. It's worth about £750 and ends in three days.
aw have a heart geoff, the seller might be down on his luck and need funds.
Knowi!g Geoffs tastes its probably a MERIDIAN
in that case then.... mums the word! lol
Decent looking TDL Studio 0.5 transmission line speakers in Sheffield. Less than 3 hours to go and bids are at £88. Got to be worth a bash!

Mega rare!
Mk.I KEF Concerto speakers from the sixties. They had me fooled for a moment. I thought it was a picture of a pairs of Concords.
Located in Teddington. These are a proper collectors item: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-of-KE...8AAOSwFqJWi88U
(looks like the B139 bass drivers are later replacements. The originals would have had white foam surrounds)
mission 774 tonearm, these are getting pricey now

and if you want a spare wand.

I just LOVE the look of this vintage T/T: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Delphon-GS...3D321970494728
Bet it would be a stunning thing to play my mono jazz and classical recordings on! :)

It has a sharp tip
I predicted these great arms would get focused on by vinyl enthusiasts eventually, after not being on the radar for a good while. They are seriously good sounding and work with any type of cartridge. Prices will keep rising.
Keep an eye on the Lenco and Decca stuff too. That's rocketing.
Good job I've stocked up on just about everything I'm likely to want (might get another certain power amp though, before people latch onto how good they are ;)).
Don't know if this is a bargain, and once all those valves get going, would I need to turn my radiator off  !!!

Here we go again. Watch this Goldring Lenco G88 and see what it fetches.

I think I've seen this one for sale before. A couple of years ago you'd have likely got one for £100. I reckon this could go for £400 to £500, might be a fraction less as it's collect only.
I paid £25 for mine, but it was years ago.
Sansui 525 for £120 on eBay. I can't get the link to add !!!!
Like this you mean? :)

Great sounding Monarchy Audio M22B DAC and DIP jitter buster combination. I own a couple of Monarchy Audio DACs and the DIP, they are superb.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3018443528...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
This DAC ran circles around my Theta DS Pro Progeny and that was a damn good unit.
