Whenever I tipped the contents of a can of, say, baked beans or thick soup, the thicker part at the bottom of the tin was always more stubborn and had to be encouraged out with a spoon or fork. I certainly don't feel that I need to get a life (as Mrs. P suggests), and in the meantime I'll be conducting an experiment (storing the tins upside down), and hopefully the results will support my theory :)
