I have oak cones under everything, to me it makes the bass more defined and the top end sparkles. The best effect is that instruments just seem to hang in mid air.
I have never tried anything else, I have a spare pillow, I should see what difference that makes under my amps
I've got RDC cones of varying types and combinations under everything in the system, except speakers.
When I had bookshelves, I put their spikes under the stand wow, what a difference! That was the single thing that really got me into trying other tweaks it worked so well! It'll be interesting to see what you find, Martin.

Quite a change in approach from the lossy mats I have been using with great success.
At first blush this is a very appealing sound - clearer with more solid imaging, a bit faster, but maybe a little 2D?

At the moment it's just plunked down onto the bare platter - might be interesting to try a lossy mat underneath it ...
