Mid nineties. Been several years since I played them, and now I see why. They're ok, but I reckon I could take the tracks I like from each and just about make up one CD. There's a lot of rapping, which while more palatable than the aggressive misogyny the genre is more normally associated with, I find to be a bit distracting.Quote:

To me it reads like Jack White's covers of these songs. But I was pleased to find they are the original songs by the original artists. I'd guess they are a selection of Jack's favourite songs, no other reason for his fizzog to be on the cover. Quite a nice compilation, though not the kind of thing I'd normally play. If Grant was still about I'd probably be posting it to him.
It does say 'The Original Versions of 15 Classic Songs Covered by Jack White'.
Good collection of artists: I have recordings by the majority of them.
