Picked up in a charity shop - not quite sure what I have bought: the full performance is 8 1/2 hours long. There are two CDs in this set; one marked -5257, the second marked as -5927.
It is suggested you play it and allow yourself to fall asleep, or play it as you are going to bed. Sounds as though it could be pretty soporific!
had a good listen to both CDs. I didn't fall asleep, although being quite knackered with the day's activity, I could have done. Actually I found it soothing and helpful to listen to whilst I was cooking! :DQuote:

Ok, this is probably a first for me.
When my stepdad passed, several boxes of assorted stuff went into my brother's loft. Now he is moving house so having a clearout. Hundreds of books, CDs, records, DVDs. Very little that i would give house room to (never heard of The Kaye Sisters, but a shitload of 7" singles).
All of it is going to the charity shop, but I kept back a few classical CDs on Deutsche Gramophone label. I randomly picked this one first - I actually recognise a lot of what's on it, so may keep it.

Thanks Barry, I certainly will be keeping the rest of these CDs - I now have a grand total of eight! But the first two I played I found enjoyable in their quite different ways. And it helped that my set up seemed to like the genre, sounding somehow relaxing and dynamic! I wasn't expecting that...Quote:
