Thurs bin a few Oak cone seller which were not that great, the angle of the cones didnt look right to me. This seller is the best imho

Picking them up Wednesday evening so in a couple of days I will be comparing them with my JPW's for computer listening.
I picked up a mint pair of these about 6 months ago for £6 (yes, that's right SIX POUNDS) in one of the local charity shops (they had just arrived and had no price on them - the girl had to phone the manager, when he said £6 I was amazed - case of right place, right time - it was the first time I had ever been in there). Having had a pair of the smaller 760i's that sounded fab on the end of Audiolab amps, I knew I would not be disappointed. IMO they need something with a bit of grunt behind it to give of their best.

The problem with greedy pricing is that it reflects across the whole used equipment market and prompts others to believe their lumps of 'old tat' are worth 'mucho dosh' and eventually all the useful bits of older gear get their prices pushed up alongside the junk! It's pissing me off, even the boot sale vendors are getting greedy these days.
