New telly, new cabling…
Picked up a bunch of these,
Recommended on the AV forums and by a lot of the AV guys on YouTube.
New telly does a lot more than the old one picture spec wise (HDMI 2.1) so didn’t want cabling holding that back.
Thick heavy cables, unusually for HDMI they are solid core copper construction, so a bit trickier to install but top quality.
Two 3m ones, one for the EARC connection to soundbar and another for direct connection to Oppo Blu-ray player.
Another two 1.5m ones, AppleTV and PS5 to the soundbars HDMI 2.1 ports.

HDMI 2.1 certified too, so fully tested.
Not all HDMIs are, and can lead to dropouts, handshake issues and stuff.
Ticks all the boxes, extremely well made and HEAVY cables, fire them up tonight.
Not expensive either at £25 for a 3m one, £13 for a 1.5m.
I wouldn’t pay silly money for HDMI cables, better ways to get improvements.

Chinky one. Quite surprised they haven't updated it yet. In a 35 by 14 room. With their ALR screen.
Fan is a bit loud, but otherwise it's good. Source material still needs to catch up for 100 inch screens I would say. But give it some decent 4K YouTube input and it shows what it can really do. Netflix/Amazon generally let it down, but not always.
It's a beast!
Oh....there's a question!
Probably just some 4k demo stuff from YouTube till I get the settings dialled in?
That said,
Fair few folk just putting it in Filmaker Mode and calling it done.
Movie wise... needs a bit of thought!
Have a zillion things I've held off watching till the new telly was in...
Curious most about Tron Legacy and how it would look on this telly, probably that.
Papah, papah, papapapapapah, papah-papah-papah-papah, pap!
Don't forget the popcorn :)
