Big Thanks to Chris (wobbleu) for the bits and bobs, all arived quickly and safely they have now gone off to be finished and cased by a mate who owes me a favour after digging out a new Koi pond for him on saturday
Big vote of thanks and thumbs up from me to Dan (Busshytip) for the Hydra lead. Arrived todayby Recorded Delivery, as advised, and exactly what it said on the tin ;) .
Great seller.
Cheers Dave
A nice quick easy no fuss sale, just the way I like it! :)
Should like to thank Amptastic for the prompt and professional service displayed in dispatching the Mini-T amp I bought as part of the AoS 'group buy'.
Good one! But you must do something about the 13A plug fitted to the mains lead supplied. As it stands, it does not conform to UK standards and thus is illegal!
Well i advertised for an ADC '26' cartridge only the other day as a long shot! I really thought that i might have to import one from the USA but Barry came up trumps straight away with one at a give away price.
It's arrived this morning via Barry's mega Efficiency service :eyebrows: in wonderfull condition complete with original case/Box which is also in superb condition..Very please is an understatement..
So thanks very much Barry & thanks for care & attention.
Godbless buddy
Andr'e
I'm glad you posted here Andr'e, as it reminded me to say cheers to Mike for the bag o'phono sockets that I received today :D
Cheers Mike, nice stuff & nice dealing with you :) All the best to you!
Glad to hear it arrived safely André, and that first class post really does mean 'next day' delivery.
Hope you enjoy using it - it ought to sound really good in your Mayware arm. Remember, we want to see some photos of the complete setup!
Thanks for the prompt payment - glad to have been of service
Best regards
It will not come as any surprise to the 'older hands' around here that Mike (Alien Entity) is a great guy to deal with. I bought a couple of HDMI cables from him and received them in mint condition a couple of days later. One yet to be allocated but the other made a big difference to the picture when put between Sky box and Bravia LED TV.
Big 'Thank You' Mike.
Dave.
Will do Barry, gonna be a few week before i get done. I've spent all afternoon at the dinner table making an SME pattern mounting plate out of 3mm aluminium plate, it just wants drilling, wet & dry 'n' finishing in black, that'll be that bit done :eyebrows:
off to Screw fix it for an hole cutter

A big thank you from newbie Jazid to ColinB and David (Clothears). I bought respectively an Icon Audio PS1 and a Goldring 1042 to replace my P77 and NAD 3020 'phono stage'. Yup, massive, massive improvement - as expected but sweeter. The cart and phono stage are both in superb condition, both guys couldn't have been more helpful, so really a big thanks to you both!
Must thank Mike (the 'alien') for the Sony CDP XB-930 player he sold me recently.
Superbly packed, it arrived promptly (via the auspices of Parcel Force) in perfect condition. Indeed it is in absolutely mint condition - not a mark anywhere!
It has just replaced my dependable and beloved CDP XB-720E, and on initial listening would seem to be a noticable improvement. Will report more fully later, once the player has 'bedded in' and I have played around with external DACs (not that I am expecting much, if any, improvement) and digital cables.
The XB-930 has the laser integral with the CD drawer. This is the first player I have used which has this sensible arrangement. It might explain why things seem to sound a little clearer.
Again many, many thanks Mike - I'm one very Happy Bunny! :)
Hi Barry,
Glad to hear it arrived in good condition and I hope you'll be happy with it.
Incidentally, if you didn't know already, there are some 'hidden features' that can be displayed on the front panel.... you can turn it into a 'jitter meter' and suchlike!
Have fun.... :)
Thanks to Rob (puffin) for the TT, many hours of fiddling coming i forsee
Thanks to Martinh for a great & smooth transaction buying the Neat Motive 2's :)
Big shout out to Dan (hifilover) for the DVD's. They arrived well packed and in first class condition...
Many thanks to Dave (clothears) for the knock on the door I got just now as the postie delivered a rather lovely looking copy of Muddy Waters - 'Folk Singer'. One of my favourite albums of all time, & now I've got to go out & I'm going to have to wait till this evening to play it - buggerit buggerit buggerit!
Thanks a lot Dave, for a very good and smoothly dealt with transaction for an extremely fair price.
Cheers
Big thanks to Dave for prompt delivery, records in brill nick but unlike Chris' excuse for can't play immediately,
had an accident on my mountain bike ride, knocked 2 front tooth out in the process, cuts on my mouth, nose, chin and cueing hand and body ache like car crash victim.:(
wii.
Gee Andy, that's terrible! :(
Hope you recover OK and the dentist repairs your chompers. :)
I know this section is for private sales but I couldn't find an appropriate section for trade members so I've popped it here. Sorry if I'm a pillock!
A big "thank you" to Mr David Wrenn of Radlett Audio.... sorted me out with a cracking deal on a Croft Micro 25R. Hell of an amp and a top bloke!
Yer all right, Mike. The section is for both trade and private. Glad the Croft's worked out well :)
Marco.
It started off really good and then went "a bit off" for a while. It's starting to come back now the hours are running up! Plenty of scope for valve rolling too... :)
A big thank you to Lance (Elvis's Last Movement) for such a smooth transaction on the Ditton 44's. A thoroughly nice bloke and a pleasure to deal with.
An added bonus for me was that I got my first oppurtunity to listen to a pair of large Tannoy's (Buckinghams). When Lance first connected them up to his cold valve gear I sat there wondering what all the fuss was about, but once things had warmed up all I can say is WOW!! I think I now understand :).
A big thank you to Bernie (canetoad) for a smooth transaction with regards to the purchase of his Beresford dac.
cheers
Nigel
Thanks Nigel! Hope you like the sounds coming from it. :)
A vote of thanks for David at MCRU - small purchase of Belden shielde mains cable was ordered Sunday and delivered Tuesday, together with free DeOxit wipe, Great guy to deal with.

Also a shout going out to David (Mains Cables R us) for the 2M of Belden screened mains cable that I received earlier last week
Cheers David, it has a metal 6 gang mains block waiting to join it!
A big thanks to Paul (Reffc - Trade RFC) for the excellent custom headphone cable he made up for my Ultrasone headphones. Big improvement on the standard cable so a great value upgrade.
Many thanks to camtwister (John). Just received the Sterling Black Mamba cables. Like a kid at Xmas waiting to finish work and get them installed! Thats what its all about, isnt it!
Thanks to northwest for the ups, works a treat at :)
A quick "thank you" to Mark Grant (he doesn't seem to have had much of a mention lately) for the various bits 'n bobs he's supplied recently.
Always a pleasure, thanks mate! ;)

Thanks to Mike Homar for the usual excellent service and product (coax cable)
Steve
My thanks to Andrew (Elephantears) for a smooth transaction to find a new home for my Croft Series 4S power amp.
Thanks also to Mark Grant for some superb custom work for me.
Just got the Mains distribution block I bought from him, packed very well, it took me awhile to get it out of its packing. Not tried it as the floods came this evening, but I will install it after I put my system back together.
Once again thank you Hamish
A big thank you to Graham (northwest) for coming up with a pair of valves I was after... Cheers mate!
A HUGE Big up to Hifi Dave for being a complete gent. He offerred and prepared some Chord Odyssey as speaker jumpers for me, completely free of charge on the back of the attached thread I had posted http://theartofsound.net/forum/showt...703#post340703
didn't even charge me postage, received the item in literally a few days - A top top guy :respect:
A smashing thanks and respect to Simon of Hifi Sound in Stockton who did me a fantastic deal on my new Rega Dac and Brio-R. Following an initial enquiry we had great comms via phone and his part ex values for my other kit were excellent. Simon is a real enthusiast with a lovely showroom with some fantastic gear, I could have spent all day there, it really has to be seen, moreover he makes a nice cup of coffee and spends time to chat and take an interest in his customers. Even talked me in by phone when i got lost. This how a dealer experience should be.
As for opinions on the Rega gear, I'll post a thread on the blank canvas in a few days when i've had a chance to get over the excitement that having new boxes always brings.... suffice to say for now I'm too busy listening and enjoying the famous Rega system synergy!
Thanks to Northwest for a great deal. Top guy.
Many thanks to Ledzep (Dan) for a great deal on the Mark Grant G1500HDs. Nice cables and magnificent service to boot. :)
Cheers,
Thanks to Martinh (Martin) for quick payment its a pleasure mate.Cheers :)
Thanks to Frank for the Klotz AC110 Interconnects, I can see why its recommended for Rega kit. Was just long enough. Cheers
