Well, if it’s a normal rain, an umbrella would help. This fine stuff just floats in the air and there’s no help unless you’re willing to wear waterproof overalls :D
Lol - but the use of an umbrella would have the same effect (i.e. keeping you dry) with the fine stuff, as it does with the heavy stuff - at the end of the day it's all (rain) water!
The only difference is when either is accompanied by heavy wind, which then negates the use of a brolly, unless you want to go swanning off into the sunset like Cinderella:D

Anyway, still raining and pretty miserable here, so going out for lunch later with my dad and a friend, who's down visiting from Glasgow, at Telford's Warehouse in Chester: https://www.google.com/maps/uv?hl=en...oiowCnoECAsQBg
Awesome beer selection in this place, and the food is also top notch!

How can a Scotsman not be familiar with wet rain?
An umbrella's no use in wet rain because wet rain doesn't drop on you from above, it's all around you, like you are waking through a cloud. There's no defense against it.
I was only in Scotland a week and I saw all types of rain multiple times, including wet rain
Yesh, but one way or another, ALL rain is WET!:D
If it's raining (fine or otherwise), and you wear a good, genuinely waterproof jacket (with a hood) and similar trousers, with suitable footwear, you'll NOT get wet!

P.S I'm not a Scotsman. I'm an Italian who was born in Scotland;)
