It does look a mess, but it's restorable and probably worth doing (if one is keen).

You're slipping up there Bev. The first is a Mk.1 (and looks rather nice), the second is 'spares' and the third is an A21a that sold for over £500. :)

Ooops, I'm no Sugden expert, as you can see, but surely there isn't much in it is there ?

The only one I have some experience of is the A21A, and it was a superb amp... used it with a pair of Shahinian Arc's... just couldn't afford the kit at the time...

Also the original add for this nasty looking one does say: "I can confirm that the power light illuminates when it's plugged in but as I cannot lay my hands on a 5-pin Din-plugged cable I do not know if it still functions or not"

So I'd consider that as 'spares or repair' only...

I dare say, but if I hadn't got other things in the pipeline, I'd consider it myself. It ain't going to be dear to buy.

Knowing ePay... I bet it goes for a decent price... it still has 14hrs to go .. I'll keep an eye on it..

Is it a good amp then Geoff ? better than a A21A ?

Yes and no. It's decent enough, but not true Class A like the A21, let alone the A21A. I've had the Mk.1 and it's quite pleasant. This later Mk.II is just a styling revamp basically (not a very good one), but the poor old thing deserves better than to go to the tip.
