Passport To Pimlico. 1949..
The outdoor scenes were not shot in Pimlico, but about a mile away in Lambeth. A set was built on a large Second World War bombsite just south of the Lambeth Road at the junction of Hercules Road. Made a $6m profit from a $10m outlay so not too shabby.. This film spawned a number of direct to video films to add to its value i guess. This is only one i like tbh, and it is a teriffic film for me. Great carisma between the actors..
I watched that again the other week, they do get the tone of it just right.
'The Hill' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hill_(film) had a very rare outing on BBC2 last night, hope everyone watched it.
