Got a ride earlier in my daughter's partner's latest car, a 2018 AMG E63 S. Wet roads, 604bhp and a young man keen to impress is a tricky combination, and how I managed to keep my lunch down I've no idea.
He says his previous three cars (Nissan GTR, Audi RS5, AMG 63 CLS) couldn't come near on the scare-yourself-shitless scale, and I can believe that. Totally bonkers, but a lovely place to be when it isn't moving.

Most of my mates have stupidly fast cars, and I must admit I generally hate it when they want to show me “what I can do”. I think I’m a control freak which doesn’t help, but as you’ll appreciate Steve, when you own a fast motorbike you can scare yourself shitless whenever you like, which for me isn’t very often these days!
