Game of Thrones - Season 5, Episode 8 'Hardhome'. Easily the last 30 mins are the finest in Game of Thrones so far. White Walkers show what they are capable of. Frankly all the Kingdoms are screwed against these characters.

One of those films that reminds you that Cinema can still shock.
Literally watched certain scenes thinking 'no way did that just happen'.
Soundtrack is stunning Neil, (Same guy who did Solaris, Traffic and Drive) and part of the whole experience.

Groundhog Day (1993) stars Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell and directed by Harold Ramis. Made 5 times its budget so must be classed as a big success. I love it ;) great premise thats been used a few times. Murray and Ramis fell out for ever over the way it was made too.

"The Wire" is very good indeed. All six (I think) serieses, but do tackle them in numerical order. "Breaking Bad" is meant to be excellent too - it's next on my list. My kids also rave over "House of Cards" (the US version, not the UK one). I would add "The Killing" esp series 1. Have fun!Quote:

HBO at its best...Shown once back on Channel 4 in the wee hours of the morning...its brutal adult drama.

Examination of the American law enforcement 'ecosystem'...each series examines a different aspect.
Quality seeps out of it, Shakespearean in scope...genuinely gripping and 'gotta know what happens next' feckin' amazing.
