Nice one, Martin. I've seen a couple of those come up on ebay and have always wondered what the difference, in recording quality, was between an early mono version like mine, and what you've got....
I'll bring my cope along next time and we'll test it against yours! :)

On my copy of the Telarc 1812, the groove has a near right angle kink in it where the cannon 'crack' occurs! Surprisingly the Decca will track it.Quote:

Charles Camilleri's 1st piano concerto is truly a thing of wonder - bold 1st and 3rd movements, bristling with energy and strong tonal melodies, and a slow 2nd movement that is very very beautiful, indeed.
Sadly, (for me) the 2nd and 3rd piano concertos are a sequence of 'modernistic' random notes. But the 1st, of nearly 30 minutes duration, is well worth getting to hear!
The Bruckner 7th is a wonderful symphony, full of blaring brass crescendi. Then again, many of them are.
