If I may ask. When you had the NVA Cube 2 speakers, how would you discribe their sound? What amps were they used with?

ARA's Quad were arranged in two unconventional alignments.
The most recent was two pairs, each channel of which was made up of two speakers arranged closely at 90 degrees to each other. Each unit was loaded with a very heavy lump of steel on top.

Prior to those there was a semi-circular array of 57's - 14 units (I think).

The arragement ARA used with his fourteen 57's was two vertical stacks of 4 each side at the front, with two arrays of three speakers each at the rear. The speakers at the rear being rotated through 90 degrees, so they were on their sides; or if you will, a horizontal assembly of three speakers each, the entire assembly orientated vertically. I assume this was done to 'diffuse', or ameliorate the treble beaming, prevalent with these speakers.
