IMHO too :) I did used to have Freak Out, Absolutely Free and We're only in it for the Money (which were all Zappa/Mothers iirc) and liked them all. But that was the early 70s and I've not heard them since then. I'm not sure what I'd make of them these days, though I'm tempted to give them a go. So little time, so much Zappa :)Quote:

I knew someone who on hearing 'Safe as Milk' for the first time thought that Beefheart was mocking Howling Wolf's singing voice. He was a big blues fan, as I was, but I had to explain to my friend that, IMO, Beefheart was in fact complimenting the great blues singer.
