So how come we're the only ones with fuel shortages and huge queues outside filling stations? There certainly aren't any in Germany (nor in Italy, for that matter), as Del was talking to her relatives about that and everything is normal there.
I don't doubt that the pandemic (and also what Geoff's mentioned about drivers retiring and not being replaced) hasn't helped matters, but neither has leaving the EU. Since Brexit, all I can see so far is evidence of hinderance!
I wasn't talking about VAT. I was complaining about the inordinate amount of time the cables took to arrive, compared with before, and when I mentioned it to the seller, he assured me that the delays were to do with Brexit and how that was impacting on stuff arriving in the UK from Europe.Quote:
It was the EU's decision to cancel the customs union, we were happy to stay in it. So blame them for adding VAT to your shipment to Poland.
The cables left Poland and arrived here quickly enough, but took longer to get through UK customs and be delivered than when I get stuff from China!!
Plus, who's fault is then that sending goods to Europe now costs more than double what it did before when we were in the EU? Over £7 to send a little parcel to Germany. Bloody ridiculous.
Marco.
we are only country to start silly rumours(and believe them);)
Starmer must be rubbing his hands with glee.................not that his lot would have a hope in hell of running things properly!
Lol - they're all clowns, but BJ-boy, and his hapless cronies, much more than most!:mental:
