Dropped off youngest, with one of her mates, at Latitude festival this morning.
Quite funny really, they both had rucksacks front and back, wine boxes in each hand - nice to know that you have brought up your children in the right way :lol:

Well, me and Mrs. P are having a week's holiday starting tomorrow. And as we haven't been anywhere this year we've decided to push the boat out, and are off to... Pontin's! In Weston Super-Mare :) A day/night in Poole first, then up to Weston for 4 days.

Everywhere we've tried is either fully booked or stupidly expensive, but the Pontins is £350 for four days bed breakfast and evening meal. And our plan is for it to be our base, going out somewhere each day to explore places of interest (there must be some). So the Knobbly Knees contest will have to cope without me :)

Lesson learned though - if you want to stay somewhere nice, you should heed old Fred Pontin's advice and "Book Early":thumbsup:

Indeed... I suspect if we're going away this year it'll mainly be day trips out, with perhaps the odd overnight stay somewhere nice.

Anyway, I hope you both have a nice time (quite a smart thing you're doing, actually):cool:

or stay in n wales and do day trips lol. actually where i stay there are quite a few places to go in under an hr. not as nice as wrexham tho

Lol, I would say around Wrexham, mate, i.e the surroundings. Wrexham itself is nothing special.

Just a biggish working-class town, but fortunately it does offer pretty much every 'facility' you need to enjoy a good standard of living (suffers from little crowding or conjestion), and acts as a good central base from which to explore the undoubtedly beautiful (indeed some parts stunning) North Wales, and also Cheshire and Shropshire, both of which are on its doorstep and attractive counties in their own right:)
