My old LG KC550 is fifteen years old and has 2G connectivity. I hardly use it and it's still like new, but I guess I'll need to look for something else at the appropriate time. I won't wait until the last knockings, as I expect there'll be a mad rush for new phones and prices will zoom. I'd put money on that!
I'll simply do without one (or borrow Del's, if I needed to), as I *refuse* to own a smartphone.
If I ever did do though [very unlikely indeed], I'd ensure that every single 'app' was removed from its memory at the shop where it was bought, and I'd never use it for any purpose (buying stuff, etc) where my number could be misused by any third parties for advertising purposes or other nefarious reasons, so it would simply be used, very occasionally, to make and receive calls, to a very select few, just as my current one is!:)
Marco.
dont need to do that and in fact you cant.. but just ensure data, bluetooth and wifi are all off. it will just be a phone then
yeah some stuff can be but some cant. You can also either not set up for sms messages etc or just switch off notifications and there are lots of settings you can shitch things off etc. Obviously if you dont give out the number then few if any will try to contact you tho..lol
