I've dealt with this seller and he's very good .
That's good to hear, Brain.

DO NOT HASSLE THE SELLER, ALTHOUGH THE AD IS STILL THERE AT THE TIME OF POSTING, THE SPEAKERS ARE SOLD. THANK YOU.
Chartwell LS3/5A "not bad condition" - £50
Yes, £50, there are no zeros missing.
The ad was 17 minutes old when I saw it, pure luck I thought. Recompense for my earlier failure to receive some similar Chartwell speakers I'd bought for silly (£25) money but "on the way to the courier they were smashed" (they were on eBay 2 weeks later). I'd just like to have some to see what the fuss is about, no dollar signs in my eyes, honest guv. But, unsurprisingly, someone was "on their way to see them". I informed the seller that his speakers were worth considerably more than his asking price, even without seeing them. Judging by sales I've seen on eBay he could add a zero and they'd be snapped up.
I spend ages looking at ads, I've only seen something like this twice in my life.
Not a bargain, just a query. Does anyone know how to switch off the damned 'international' feature on eBay? If I want to see what's available in the UK I would go to the UK site. Postage to here from the UK is stupid and I just want local or bits I can get via Mondial Relay for cheap!
I don't if this will help, but in advanced, next to the search button, you can scroll down and put in search parameters like location etc.
Ha excellent. Thanks chaps. It won't let me save that as a setting but at least I can do it at the start of a session. Some of the French technical terms are a bit difficult to translate.
'Bargain' 2A3 monoblocks. http://app.audiogon.com/listings/tub...y-hills-vil-co

not on ebay and hopefully this isn't breaking any rules but on AVforums there is someone selling a Thorens TD150 mk 2 with SME 3009 arm for £200 which I thought cheap given how much the arms seem to sell for. I've no connection with the seller.
Seems reasonable for the 303 owners- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bulgin-PX0...-/221840781727

Re:- the speakers Shane - why'd anyone have a reserve? Why not just start at the price you want?!
Because it is an auction.
If the seller stated the price he wanted, it would probably be so high buyers could be put off and no-one would bid. If, on the other hand, there is no BIN (Buy it now) price, bidding will start and could well end up reaching a figure in excess of what the seller was hoping to get. The reserve means the item does not get sold for too low a figure - just as is done in conventional auctions.
One for the tech-heads:)

Not that I'm looking to replace my speakers, but these look nice... wonder if anybody here has any experience of how they sound?

Interesting looking speaks. There is someone on the site(cannot remember who) who has a set of speakers in that shape that i liked as well. also love the colour and the positioning of the drivers. Look to be a bargain, although I suppose the could sound rubbish, i doubt it.
not wholey audio but looks like a bargain tablet here... would be great for running you RPI etc

Cheers chaps, gotta be worth a try if it stays near that price
Just outta curiousity will anyone admit to a sneaky bid on the dodgy vinyl collection from Lintone Audio (page 365).
I'd love to know if they were all sh#te or if there was an actual "hidden gem" in the mix, probably not I reckon but...........
Sansui XR-Q7 turntable. Never seen one before. Looks quite nice.

Nice deck the 07, However IMHO the 929 is the Sansui turntable weapon of choice, Not my image however I had this exact same AU-111 combo running until just recently,
