CBAT is my favourite Steely Dan album. It has personality whereas after that I feel that the sophistication and perfectionism make them too sterile. Dirty Work is understatedly great.
Now then, we all know criticising Steely Dan is off limits on this site.Quote:

This came out when I had my LP12, which played 33rpm only. So no 45rpm singles. I really liked "Radio Africa", so I went out and bought the album. Never really got on with the rest of it. Maybe I should give it a spin, it's been a while, maybe I've grown into it.Quote:
